In regional park Sečovlje Salina your past and present still go hand in hand. Ancient solinarjenja way that it Piran salt workers long ago learned from their teachers, salt workers from the island of Pag, is still something special in the Mediterranean scale.

Saltworks is the largest Slovenian salt evaporation pound where salt is still produced in a traditional way. Nice on not too hot days.

You can walk around and learn how to make salt - they allow you to rent shoes and walk in them inside the pools..it’s fun and a new experience👀
