The centerpiece of five-block War Memorial Plaza, this structure commemorates the sacrifices of Hoosier soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines.
A really interesting historic monument. Open free to the public. Be sure to visit the Shrine room in the upper level; it is extraordinary!
I highly recommend if you love history. Room after room , several levels. Totally worth the visit. All wars and plenty of information.
Very cool memorial to various wars situated among 24 acres of monuments, statues, sculptures, and fountains in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, making Indy second only to Washington D.C. in acreage and number of monuments dedicated to veterans. Make sure to check the breathtaking upper level Shrine Room.
