I think it is a great place to stay in NY. Very close to the metro station (approx. 30 min to Manhattan/Time Square). The price/quality ratio is really good for NYC standards.

The room is small but this is also what I expected. You do not need much more if you plan to sightsee a lot and only sleep there. A lot of nice restaurants, cafes in the neighbourhood. We felt safe there, also in the late evening.

I am usually not a fan of shared apartments but Holly and Gus are great hosts. We always felt very comfortable in their apartment.

Two things to consider (it was not a problem fot us but it can be relevant for some people): 1. To get there you need to climb a lot of stairs. For someone having difficulties walking and/or lifting heavy baggage, it may be a lot.
2. Bed is smaller than usual (we got this info in advance). I was a bit worried when I read it but it was perfectly fine for two people in „standard weight”. For bigger couples (or very tall ones), it may be less comfortable

I had a staycation in Brooklyn as I live about an 1 1/2 hrs in New York State. I found the apartment as described with a friendly host who has great taste in art through the place. It was a quiet shared apartment located in a great spot for accessing nightlife in Williamsburg or Manhattan. Loved my stay thank you for being great hosts!
